  1. Often the best suit to lead is a suit bid by partner.

  14. that it is not in sequence, partner will play me
  15. for a doubleton. If I play my top card and it is
  16. lower than a ten partner will assume it is top of
  17. nothing if I supported the suit; whereas, partner
  18. will assume it is a doubleton if I did not support
  19. the suit.
